Listening to Elvis sing is one of the things I’ve enjoyed since I was about 8 years old! I’m so excited to be going to an Elvis Tribute Artist’s concert with my husband and some good friends this coming weekend! I’ll be sure to let you know all about it afterwards!
The important thing today is to tell you that I’m kin to Elvis Presley! I don’t care how long distance it is, touch me, I’m kin to Elvis! LOL
If you read the last post, you’ll soon see another reason why the Langhorne’s are one of my favorite lines of ancestors! Besides taking me all the way back through the kings and queens of Europe, and Charlemagne, through them and the Steptoes, I am related to ELVIS! Yippee!
I talked about my great-grandmother Evelyn Langhorne in my last post. Today I’m introducing her mother’s family the Steptoes! My 5th great-grandfather was Col. James Steptoe, born 1710, and he fought in the Revolutionary War!

I’m sure this courageous patriot would be flabbergasted to think that his fifth great-granddaughter, writing about him over two hundred years after his birth, values him highly because he is the link to her kinship with Elvis! LOL Sorry Grandaddy, I love and admire you for a lot of reasons, but this one is important, and fun, today!
Wouldn’t you like to know some of the famous people you are kin to? Or maybe you already know. I’d love to hear! Have a great day! Helen
